The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a complex network of receptors within the brain and nervous system of humans and other mammal’s including our pets. The receptor system exists in the immune system, the central nervous system, and within many organs – it maintains homeostasis and regulates various functions of the body, and is responsive to cannabinoids from hemp plants. The ECS is responsible for balancing and optimizing functions such as sleep, relaxation, appetite moderation, controlling inflammatory and pain responses and enhancing cognitive abilities like mood and memory. When there is deficiency of endocannabinoids in the body due to aging or other impairing factors like stress, it affects how we feel and can become problematic for our optimal functioning, creating chronic inflammation and immune system issues.

No, CBD is not an addictive substance nor are there withdrawal symptoms upon ceasing to take it. CBD does not produce an excessive release of dopamine, therefore the euphoria associated with opioids or THC, or the relaxing effect of nicotine do not occur when taking CBD. CBD merely works to balance natural levels of neurotransmitters in the brain and nervous system. If there is an excess of one neurotransmitter, CBD will help to lower it, and if there is a deficiency of another, CBD will help to restore it back to an optimal level.
Employment drug tests are not designed to detect CBD but rather to detect THC because there are trace amounts of THC in more Hemp-derived CBD products, the regular consumption of very high doses of CBD (over 1000mg/day) may trigger a false positive result. It is, however extremely unlikely that even high doses of CBD products would exceed allowable limits of THC per millimeter of urine. Our CBD drops are most effective taken sublingually as they are absorbed by the mucous membrane then directly absorbed into the bloodstream without having to go through the digestive system or liver where parts of the supplement are lost. To administer, squeeze 1 ml of tincture under the tongue and hold it there for about 6090 seconds before swallowing to allow for most efficient absorption. To sustain beneficial levels in the bloodstream, it is recommended to take 2 droppers per day 12 hours apart. For more acute symptoms you may take 3 droppers per 6 hours apart.
The noticeable effects of CBD generally last for up to 4 to 6 hours. CBD concentration in the bloodstream drops, significantly each hour after the initial dosage and after approximately 7 hours, its overt effects wear off. CBD isolate is a pure crystalline powder that contains 99%+ pure CBD. All the plant matter contained in the hemp plant, including oils, waxes, chlorophyll, are removed offering a finished product that’s CBD and nothing more. Emulsification is the process of solubilizing CBD oil into water. The idea is to capture the oil (containing CBD) in small surfactant bubbles. These bubbles are small enough to remain suspended in water and stable for a period of time depending on the size. The smaller the size of these bubbles the more stable the solution will be over time. “Nano” or “Nano-emulsified” solutions are simply solutions with very small bubbles suspended in water; 100 nanometer diameter = 0.00000001 meter diameter. For comparison, the hemoglobin protein is approximately 5 nanometers in diameter. So, we are making bubbles that are within the same size range as proteins in the human body.
Oil is not easily absorbed by the human body since we are primarily composed of water. The body does however have a natural mechanism for breaking apart oil and absorbing it into the bloodstream. The problem is that much of the oil passes through the digestive system before the body can fully absorb the oil. The mechanism the body uses is similar to emulsification. The body will pull the oil apart using bile and capture it inside a small bubble like structures composed of bile salts. These small bubbles have greater surface area aiding the enzymatic activity of pancreatic lipase which further breaks the bubbles down allowing easy absorption into the bloodstream. When we capture drug molecules inside nanometer sized bubbles the body does not need to act on the bubbles to achieve absorption. The drug is the more readily absorbed by the body.
