GENERAL INFORMATION
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a chemical compound extracted from the cannabis plant. Pure CBD is natural, non-habit forming, and nonpsychedelic. While CBD is a small component of marijuana (one of many), unlike typical marijuana, CBD does NOT get you high. CBD is, however, often associated with feelings of relaxation and calm. CBD products typically have a THC concentration of less than .03% but be sure to read the product label for a more detailed description.
It is becoming recognized for its benefits on human and animal health and is capable of affecting nearly every biological process via the Endocannabinoid system. Early research and anecdotal evidence show promise for CBD and other Phytocannabinoids to support health and wellness.

The best way to distinguish what you are paying for when purchasing a cannabis related product is by looking at its listings. Hempseed oil will be listed as cannabis sativa seed oil. CBD will usually be listed as cannabidiol, full-spectrum hemp, hemp oil, PCR (phytocannabinoid-rich) or PCR hemp extracts.
Any hemp-derived CBD product with a THC percentage of less than 0.3 percent, is legal on the federal level but is still illegal under some state laws. • 30-75mg a day for a moderate dosage
• 60-150mg a day for a heavy dosage
These ranges are based on body weight. A large athlete will need more CBD to meet a similar dosage strength of a petite woman, for example.
160mg is widely considered the recommended maximum daily amount.

All CBD products should be examined via the product label. BUT typically CBD products have a THC concentration of less than 0.3%. Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is the compound responsible for making people feel high. What gets people confused is where the CBD oil is extracted. Both THC and CBD are extracted from the cannabis plant, but both compounds can be isolated from one another. Manufactures typically infuse CBD into tinctures, edibles, topicals, soft gels and other products. These products, by law, can contain no more than 0.3 percent THC. This is not enough to create any psychoactive symptoms.
Confusion between these two oils typically comes from where they are extracted: the cannabis plant. Hempseed oil is oil extracted from the pressing of seeds from the cannabis plant while CBD hemp oil is derived from the flowers, leaves, and stems of the cannabis plant.
Hempseed Oil does not typically contain CBD, and thus can be advertised in all 50 states. CBD Hemp oil contains concentrations of CBD and is legal at the federal level, but some state levels describe laws pertaining to CBD differently.
Products containing hempseed and CBD hemp oils do not typically cause a high, since the levels of THC, if any, tend to be exceptionally low. These products, by law, can have no more than 0.3% of THC. Psychoactive symptoms would be nonexistent at this concentration of THC.
EFFECTS OF CBD
There is very little evidence showing any adverse effects associated with CBD consumption. In fact, evidence suggests that high-dose CBD may enhance the effects of some pharmaceutical medications. However, CBD is considered generally well-tolerated and even high doses of the cannabinoid produce but minimal side effects.
According to various trials, the FDA has concluded that the benefits of CBD outweighs the risks of the epilepsy drug Epidiolex.
It could take anywhere from thirty minutes to two hours to feel the relaxing effects of ingesting CBD, but relief felt is long lasting. The effects of CBD edibles last between two to four hours longer than if it was inhaled, providing prolonged relief from mild pains and daily stresses.
